2026 OpenFisca Conference - Policy as a Journey - Catherine Althaus

Catherine Althaus introduces The Policy Playbook, including the methods and approaches to treating policy as a journey, the role of public servants to proactively and confidently be stewards for long term public outcomes and public good. She also shares some important lessons from First Nations knowledge systems for policy making that she has been lucky enough to learn, such as building relationships and kinship into policy custodianship, and bringing Country into the process, rather than just “users”.
