Nearly 5 years ago, in 2020, I had a briefly best-selling darksynth album on Bandcamp. I was also still actively transitioning. Then the name-calling started. The misgendering, The deadnaming, The harassment, and the eventual dogpiling, and mass-harassment from many within the now likely dead Twitter Synthwave scene. I know they wanted to push me out of music. I also believe they wanted me to disappear completely, in ways that I can't say without being censored. It's too bad for them I didn't do that.
