NEGUA, Daegu Art Museum, South Korea 2017

Negua is an interdisciplinary art installation joining sculpture, photography and visual coding art. Kalypso involves the audience in a very personal way and concentrates the preceding communication in compelling live performances. When entering the venue, four photos of each visitor's eyeball are taken: eyes wide open, closed, and looking left and right. These images are transferred to the video projection engine. Negua comes to life when all these eyes are mapped on the sculpture of white spheres, gently panning around, winking then and now, gazing at the audience, who are returning their look in a sweet state of hypnosis.
