Summer Solstice Handfasting Ceremony

On the summer solstice of 2022, Kathleen Austin and Odin Halvorson were joined in marriage on the majestic cliffs of California at the Point Cabrillo Lighthouse in stunning Mendocino County. With original vows by the couple, a live Celtic song and poem invoking the sea, and a custom ceremony designed by the bride and groom, the wedding was a blend of traditional and modern; drawing inspiration from handfasting ceremonies of ancient cultures alongside a unique, yet classical, ring-gifting.
