108 AlKauthar

The Surah has been so designated after the word al-kauthar occurring in the first verse. The whole content of the Surah Al-Kauthar by itself bears evidence that it was revealed at Makkah, and in the period when the Holy Prophet was passing through extremely discouraging conditions.
