She Drives Mobility meets Frithjof Bergmann, the godfather of new work -talking about transformation
I was honored and blessed to meet Frithjof Bergmann and his friend David. Over an hour we made a deep dive into the topics of tranformation of society and industry, especially car makers in germany. Frithjof is very aware of what is happening in Germany, he asked me, if we are - as in the US already for a while - afraid of poverty and losing jobs due to the need of a system change. We failed to frame this change, but Frithjof thinks, it is still possible. In the 80ies, he first establish his idea of new work due to the beginning crisis of carbuilders in the US. He therefore founded the Center for New Work in Flint in 1981, and has developed a number of suggestions about work as a calling and a vehicle of self-realization, in rotation with mainstream employment, and involving a self-sufficiency that technology itself makes possible. He never stopped being a thought leader of a human centric world - starting with "new work" as a genuine rethinking of freedom of everyone of us. By changi
