'Necessity 1: Forests' is the fifth video in the series 'Never Just A Tree', as part of the residency 'The Wood Wide Web' in collaboration with the Kielderhead Wildwood Project, Kielder. The 5th-7th videos in this series talk about the necessity of different types of network: why do they matter? In this video, Shane explores the idea of networks in forests, and how mycorrhizal networks work as points of exchange for important minerals in healthy organisms.
