'Forests' is the second video in the series 'Never Just A Tree', as part of the residency 'The Wood Wide Web' in collaboration with the Kielderhead Wildwood Project, Kielder. In this video, Shane outlines the first of the three network concepts of his residency: Forests. He develops an understanding of how forests communicate with one another, linked to recent research on the "Wood Wide Web". The 'Wood Wide Web' is a recently discovered phenomenon about networks of fungi and trees that spread through forests, sharing and exchanging information, food, water and other resources.
