3 Ways to Follow People from Other Instances on Mastodon

Let's say you're new to Mastodon and need to find people to follow. I'd like to describe three different ways to follow people from other instances. 1. Easy - If they show up in any of your timelines Look at the Federated timeline. There posts of people show up who are not on your instance. If you find someone who is interesting. Click on their user name and follow them. From now on their new posts will show up in your Home timeline. 2. Harder - Copy & Paste their URL into your search bar If you find some user on a different instance because you followed a link to their profile page from reddit or Twitter or any other website, then the Follow button shows that you either need to log in or to copy the URL to their profile page and paste it on your own instance into the search bar.
