Review: The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller

Madeline Miller's 2011 novel "The Song of Achilles" retells much of Homer's Illiad but from the point of view of the hero Achilles' friend and lover Patroclus. A best-selling, much lauded book which has taken me 15 years to get around to reading. A decent story or just ancient history?
