Super Smash Bros. - Mario and Luigi Extended Up B OOS
This video shows a technique in Super Smash Bros. for performing an Extended Up + B with Mario and Luigi out of shield (OOS). This is useful, for example, to escape pressure and land on the top platform where a normal Up + B wouldn't. Included is also a Reverse Extended Up + B OOS. The inputs are more complicated because the flick method of performing the Extended Up + B (flick Up + Away + press B then let go) doesn't work in shield, since the game prioritizes rolling. Therefore, by jumping OOS first, it's possible to utilize the flick method afterwards. Since Up + B cancels jumpsquat, this makes it only one frame slower than a normal Extended Up + B. --- Extended Up + B Recap: - On Frames 1-4 of the Up + B, you have to input back for at least one frame then let go before the turnaround on Frame 5 - If you turn around, you held back too long - If you get a normal Up + B, you did it too late OOS Extended Up + B: - Jump OOS (Ex. with C-Left) - Within **2 frames**, press Up + Away +
