Review: The Martians by David Baron

This intriguing book by David Baron takes us back to the days of the late 19th century and what would become a full-sized media craze about the planet Mars - were the supposed canals on mars proof that intelligent life lived on the planet and if so, what were they like and would they save our sorry race too?. Between the 1880s and the first world war Mars fever ran rife in the US media - historical oddity or a lesson for us today in the 21st century? A bit of a rambling unfocused review from me, sorry!
