Trump removing Maduro from #venezuela is likely more an internal politics power-move than a real geopolitical gambit, yet. #geopolitics is the justication, but the simple act of kidnapping the leader changed little about that. This special military operation is in service of drumming up support from #authoritarian #imperialist base, much like Vladimir Putin was hoping for in 2022 in Ukraine. Furthermore, we have to acknowledge the strong #fascist -adjacent base of support Donald Trump actually commands.
