You'd think Microsoft would deliver in a big way in Microsoft Ignite this year with AI agents being the first of their kind in a desktop operating system. Unfortunately, the keynote was an utter tossup and there were 2 breakout rooms showing off the AI agents and the AI agents are nothing more than additional wrappers for Microsoft Copilot with the ability to do things on your behalf on your computer. It's too bad all of that was wasted because Microsoft's presenters won't even give the AI unfettered access to the demo machines and it's still in its infancy.
