Autumn Beauty and a Little Sadness; Pagan Altar

Autumn Equinox marks the time of ripening, maturing, senescence, death that precedes rebirth- heralded by the most crazy beautiful natural spectacle of the year in northern climates- the fall colour. I gather wild and garden foliage, flowers and fruit for an altar to honour the season,The primordial Bird Goddess, Great Mother Goddess Māra, Ragana the Wild One, and the Twin Gods (see my blog post from last year for more about all of this https://cohanmagazine.blogspot.com/2024/09/autumn-equinox-apjumibas-altar-to.html ) and also in remembrance of my Mother who died at this time of year, and my Aunt, her twin, also gone. After the Equinox we enter the Time of Spirits leading into winter when we honour, remember, spend time with loved ones no longer with us physically.
