Battle with Monkey in Nioh 2

(starts at 5:53) Will I defeat this battle against a jumping monkey guarding my path forward? This was my very first try at Nioh 2 and it is difficult, especially when you are looking at the wrong screen which has a delayed input and don't realize it. I had a good attitude & kept trying, honestly it was fun.
