Sound Art- Audiotalaia Summer Camp 2018

Compilation of works done in Barcelo in Barcelona ##Inside - out -Audiotalaia sound art workshop, Barcelona Collaboration : Joan Cotros and Arsu The concept Inside- out was to make audible the sound was going on inside of us outside and vice versa. For that we have used a contact microphone on the throat to pick up the vibrations from the vocal chord before it comes out of the mouth. The result was quite surprising and playful to us as the words spoken could not be understood and almost sounded like a completely different language. For me personally it reminded me of someone speaking in tongues. This was further amplifies though the speakers and places on both sides of the listener. To bring the outside sound inside, we have used the sounds of the natural world (birds, thunder, rain) and amplified it through two transducer speakers which was hung on a sculptural form.
