Alberta Winter Short Vlog Finding Firewood During Polar Vortex Jan 13

As I mentioned before, I always leave or keep in mind some sources of firewood that are close to the house for cold weather or other times I may not want to stray too far/stay out too long! There are several areas on the acreage where many wild, native spruce have grown up, and over time they will thin themselves out- some of them dying, others continuing to grow. Spruce burns nice and hot -good for cold weather, so I always have these in mind for these occasions. The last few days I haven't wanted to be out for more than an hour or so at a stretch (hands and feet, concerns, face less so- body is fine!)- I've been able to get a good sled full of wood in around an hour.
