Timelapse Peplos and Chiton Studies
Sketches of the Peplos and Doric Chiton, two Ancient Greek garments I still cannot figure out if they're the same or not. **Notes**: 1. Peplos, based of the Athena in mourning relief. Girdle at the middle, 'low girdled'. 2. Peplos, but completely ahistorical, as the girdle is at the hips and which is too low. 3. Peplos, based on description of high-girdled (on the chest) peplos. 4. Peplos, low girdled, but this time around the overlap isn't bound into the girdle. I mostly see this variation in paintings and classical era statues, which not insignificant as the peplos had gone out of fashion by then, at the same time, might be coincidence??? 5. Chiton? Double girdled. 6. Chitoniskos? Based of the many many statues of Artemis where she's wearing one. **Comments**: Another sketch session, finally one that doesn't run afoul of obscenity rules. I had wanted to do more, but it seems 2.5~ hours does gather quite a bit of recording material. (Also, got crashes, which is a good moment to sto
