Pair of ceramic glazed salt/pepper shakers. One is radioactive; the other is not

Bought for $8 at a local antique mall (on Lander St. in Seattle) a pair of salt/pepper shakers. One is bright yellow ochre in color, and not radioactive. The other, with a bright orange glaze, is very radioactive. I show off how a thick enough layer of glass will block the rather low-energy particles from the uranium glaze.
