Kdenlive Video-Editor simple overview & subtitle test
For this video I generated a subtitle timestamp .vtt file using the whisper speech to text model. This Video is a test: how do subtitles work in peertube. 1. generate a subtitle file using this command: whisper videofile.mkv --output_format vtt --language en --word_timestamps True --highlight_words True 2. I imported the .vtt subtitles into the video-editor [kdenlive](https://kdenlive.org) Project>Subtitles>Import Subtitles File 3. I modified the appearance of the subtitles: Font-size and outline color (pink) 4. I set the video resolution very low for testing purposes. And rendered the video with subtitles. 5. upload the videos, in the captions tab you can upload your .vtt captions file and select the language.
