SunAudior Encoding Tests

⏱ 0:25 🌐 peertube.wtf

I grew up playing on the V.Smile, and 6 years after growing out of it, I'm in a server that studies how it works and how to develop homebrew games for it. Before we get into the SunAudior stuff and why I tested it, I'm going to explain the V.Smile to you. The V.Smile is a kids edutainment console made by VTech, the same guys who now offer KidiZoom stuff, KidiBuzz stuff (WHY ARE YOU GIVING SMART DEVICES TO CHILDREN???), Switch and Go Dinos, official Bluey toys, blah blah blah, et cetera, et cetera. The V.Smile runs off a Sunplus SPG240, a 16-bit SoC that has its own architecture called "Β΅'nSP," which is the main focus here. Because the architecture is used with a SoC meant for embedded applications, it needs its own separate set of software to develop stuff. It also needs its own format for things like music and voice playback, which is where SunAudior and SunMidiar come in. We will talk about SunMidiar at a later date, but not now. SunAudior is an audio encoding software for Β΅'nSP-bas
