TONO T. 21145-1 Copenhagen, Denmark 1940 I Danmarks lyde Vaar (In the Spring time of Denmark) also named "Kronprinsesse Ingrid's Vuggevise" (Lullaby of Crown princess Ingrid) , was one of the very popular 78rpm records in Denmark in summer 1940. Denmark was occupied by Germany on April 9, 1940, and one week later on April 16th, the Danish Crown princess Ingrid gave birth to a daughter- the present Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. In early summer 1940 this song was written and composed and published on 78rpm records. Here the recording with the Danish band leader Sid Merriman (1899-1971). His real name was Hugo Gyldmark, and was brother of Oscar Gyldmark- the Danish composer of several Danish socialist songs, and Sven Gyldmark, one of the most popular Danish movie music composers.
