Hurricane Melissa Makes Landfall

Hurricane Melissa, a Category 5 storm, made landfall near New Hope, Jamaica, on Tuesday. With wind speeds of 185 miles per hour and sustained winds stronger than those of Hurricane Katrina, Melissa became one of the strongest storms on record in the Atlantic Ocean.
