How young is too young to be an NHL captain?

Connor Bedard is almost certainly going to be the next captain of the Chicago Blackhawks, but other guys who wore the "C" on their jerseys at his age like Jonathan Toews and Jack Eichel have spoken about the weight of the honor. Is the Hawks' young superstar ready for the challenge?
