Particle 3 // Audio-Visual // Piano Solo Improvisation from the EP “Piano Particles” (ProjectM)

In 2025, I did a few improvisations on this wonderful Schiedmayer upright piano from the 1940ties. I employed a bit of non-standard piano playing technique here. For this video, I experimented with the good old ProjectM music visualizer, using a preset called “EoS - starburst 04 double charge.milk”. It turns out that lossy video codecs and 4:2:2 chroma subsampling are damaging the viewing experience to a certain extent here. (This is a second version of the video that used RGB 4:4:4 colors throughout the whole recording and editing process, so the only limiting factor is the re-encoding of PeerTube/MakerTube)
