Winding a thinner (0.48mm) brass wire harp string onto a wooden toggle

This method works for treble strings. I use this "noose" kind of knot for 0.48mm brass or iron wire strings. Thicker midrange and bass strings don't need the cross-over to lock the end in place. The toggle holds the string firmly inside the soundbox. This "noose" is enough to hold the string secure.
