The late **Alexander Sevastian, world class Russian bajan (accordion) player** The music playing over the slideshow is *Mendelssohn's Scherzo From a Midsummer Night's Dream Suite*. He was three time first prize winner of the International Accordion Competition and others too numerous to mention. He has performed in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tokyo, Yokohama, New York. Sadly, this gifted young musician died in 2018. I photographed him at the Evergreen Theatre in Margaretsville, Nova Scotia in 2008. The classical concert program included material by Bach, Scarlatti, Mendelssohn/Rachmaninoff and many others and gave us all in the audience an exhilarating and uplifting night. *Music by kind permission of the musician.
