III. Gallery of Slashed Paintings

I had not been able to end this land's curse. Not today. Though she had not killed me either, when my consciousness returned I was in the fortress gallery. The paintings I had heard about hung here: beautiful brush strokes of the local landscapes in vivid colours and textures. These were painted by her late father. There were 3 paintings of the fortress painted back in its gilded glory before the weather of neglected time brought it to ruin. All 3 had been slashed with a grief-ridden blade.
