What if a typewriter could talk? I wanted to see if I could move a sphere o' mouths fast enough to lipsync at a reasonable frame rate. All of the footage of the mouth mechanism in action (apart from the slow motion segments) is real time with no camera trickery. The demo at the end was sequenced in advance using a mixture of automated and manual lip syncing, and played back with synchronised audio by the embedded Raspberry Pi.
