All non-renewable resources like: food, water and propane, need to be sourced from land and while being on a boat you have limited amounts of them. Items easy accessible on the land can be tricky to get to. We learn that water containers can get UV damage super fast when they are left on the deck. Sun is unforgiving in Panama latitudes. It took only a couple of days for the plastic material from which they are build to start to be brittle and to crack. We used a welding plastic technique to patch the leaky spots. There is already enough plastic on this planet so we fixed them using a piece of plastic and soldering iron. Sourcing food for the boat is always in bulk. Typically bigger bulk containers are cheaper then smaller ones and less trash. Trip to a big city. What a trip it was. County side in Panama
