Welcome to Day 13 of the 2025 Jazz Advent Calendar! We are officially in the thick of the holiday season, so today I’m playing the most recognizable winter tune of them all: "Jingle Bells." It’s a song about making noise and celebrating. However, amidst the celebration, we must also be willing to ring the alarm for those in desperate need. I am dedicating Day 13 to the Hind Rajab Foundation. While we listen to the bells ring, we cannot ignore the silence of the international community regarding the suffering in Palestine. This foundation is making noise in the legal arena. They are documenting and prosecuting the crimes committed by Israel, ensuring that the call for justice rings louder than the violence.
