Welcome to Day 10 of the 2025 Jazz Advent Calendar! We have hit double digits. To mark this milestone, I’m playing one of the most universally loved standards, "Fly Me to the Moon." It’s a song about romantic escapism, dreaming of being somewhere far away from earthly troubles. While this melody lets us drift among the stars, we must remain grounded in the urgent realities of our world. I am dedicating this 10th day to the Hind Rajab Foundation. For the Palestinian people suffering under current atrocities, there is no escape. The Hind Rajab Foundation is doing the difficult, necessary work on the ground right here on Earth.
