Let me first thank the indomitable [original artist](https://shannoncurtis.net) for not just permission for me to endirtify her gorgeous work, but for participating in my broken VHS deck style AV hijinks as well! In 2023 I was artistically lost due to health and spoons. Towards the end of the year I thought perhaps a remix would be a low stress way to get back at the studio desk. Shannon and Jamie were lovely enough to let me at the vocal stems of the anthem ["I Am"](https://shannoncurtis.bandcamp.com/track/i-am) and give it the warehouse thump treatment. 2024 was much worse for me, but I was in love with Shannon's also anthem [One Thread](https://shannoncurtis.bandcamp.com/track/one-thread) and couldn't stop thinking but what if distorted industrial drums? I mic'd up a drum kit for the first time in YEARS and mangled some sample sets I've used in various remixes since.
