Yaesu FT-470 handheld amateur radio transceiver, Part 2: Background/history

In this part I give some history on the developments leading up to this radio, and why it was basically the most advanced HT in the world upon its release. In the next part I give a physical overview of the radio, and might or might not get to turning it on, depending on how the editing goes.
