Tests of Audio Analog Input on ESP32 for Display on TV - TV Robot Project
Previously I was using the microphone on the M5Stack Core Fire for audio input, this worked well, but heard everything. I made many attempts to just do an analog reading from my mp3 player/MOVI device, and others. Ending up having to put an audio amplifier, with a voltage divider, and changing the M5Stack Core Fire to a generic ESP32. Finally I got some results - but they weren't quite what I was expecting. Test 1 - No real changes to the original (microphone input) sketch. Test 2 - Made changes to the sketch, which is interesting, but not at all what I was looking for. Test 3 - I just made one simple change, by adding a negative to one side of the display routine. This is very close to what wanted.
