Class 47 is taken from the album 'Digressions', originally available exclusively though the Werra Foxma Sub Club (https://wfrsubclub.bandcamp.com), but now also on general release though Bandcamp at https://gribbles.bandcamp.com/album/digressions My original list of possible tracks for the album had a long tune based on a field recording of my commute on the Adelaide Metro from when I worked in South Australia for a while. I wasn’t comfortable with how it sat in the track listing, so pulled it (The track has since been released as part of an EP I put out in august 2022 - you can find that here on Bandcamp at https://gribbles.bandcamp.com/album/australia-ep-1-adelaide ). But I liked the idea of having a train song. I was browsing old snippets and loops and I came across one with the arpeggiated baseline and modular rhythm you can hear in the finished song.
