Bonsai Pencils

People borrow bonsai pencils at public libraries without knowing that it takes 40 years to grow these pencils on bonsai trees. My friend Clair Garmin, in Takoma Park, Maryland, kindly pointed out that my pronunciation of the word bonsai in this video is not correct. His explanation: "Bonsai and banzai are quite different. Bonsai with the long O is a Japanese tree twisted into interesting shapes using wire. Banzai with the ah sound is the cry of the Japanese warrior charging the Marine machine gun on Guadalcanal.
