When I Was Seven

This is a song I composed for my niece last year, for her 7th birthday. In writing the lyrics, I tried to crawl into the mind of a 7-year-old and write the song from their perspective. I'd like to thank Peter, Paul and Mary for being the inspiration for this song -- and Paul Simon for the guitar strumming rhythms. @philshapiro@mastodon.social
