They especially have a taste for bottle gourd juice and yapple juice. They also feed on Froges and nezumis as larvae, but their diet diversifies as they get older; some have even eaten purrs and Dangous. Toot flies are attracted to the smell of miso; dried incroma, and burning hair. Their wings serve to keep their abdomens up due to their heavy weight. Despite this, they're extremely nimble; they can roll like a log and tumble vertically by curling into a ring shape. They can also jump up to five meters using their wings. These bugs communicate to each other a chirp that sounds a "cheee" noise and make their nests in holes near woodland river banks where they hibernate through the winter.
