Yellow slime can corrode through flesh and materials, anyone who's caught in it becomes one of five types. The brain senses when something dies on yellow slime infected land and dissolves it into the colony which causes the veins to grow into new territory and the slime to follow in their tracks. The nerves detect sound vibrations and send them to the head. The veins travel to unclaimed territory to infect in the future and burst, spreading slime on the brain's command.
