SR-2000 - Aquatic Symphony single
This is the first movement of the Elemental Symphonies suite and first promotional single. It was inspired by the album Future Days by Can. I'm a newer fan of Can and Future Days definitely is my favorite Can album. The closing track, Bel Air, is probably my favorite Can song ever. There's also more than a bit of a hint of Brian Eno and Tangerine Dream in there. Anyways, back to this track. I wanted it to have a murky, underwater-like sound. The water heard throughout was sampled from the pool at the dorms I live in. The Island is the B-side to Aquatic Symphony. Combining a Fripp and Eno-styled drone with reggae drum beats and Afro-Cuban rhythms. Quite a unique one. Tracklist: 0:00 Aquatic Symphony 6:10 The Island All music by SR-2000.
