Space Ambient Music for the TikTok Generation (full visual album)
In 2013, American pop star Beyoncé surprise released her self-titled fifth studio album. That album was accompanied by a long-form film that featured music videos for every single track. While she had previously made music videos for all thirteen tracks on her second album, 2006's B-Day (compiled on the 2007 video album B'Day Anthology Video Album; as an aside, my late aunt had this exact DVD and I remember watching it quite a bit as a child), this would be the first time she fully embraced the idea of a joint audio-visual experience. She further built upon the format when she created an hour-long companion film for her next release, 2016's Lemonade. While not the first visual albums, the success of these two albums would do a lot to popularize the visual album format.
