Day 29

Nothing for Day 28, which was a long day of work followed by attending a theater play (with music, but “sans tambour” was the title of the play, so no drums). Today was a mostly technical practice session. “The loop” is the first page of Mark Guiliana's book, a legacy of Alan Dawson. Two bars of 8th notes, followed by two bars of triplets, and then two bars of 16th notes. Go again with one bar, then half bars, then one beat. I tried to pass from that exercise to another one I had practiced earlier, beats on the hi-hat, 8th notes, one on the snare, one bass drum, then 2 on the snare, one on the bass drum, etc. but that didn't work well when I wanted to record it.
