Accurate (-ish) render of Venus topology in 3D

I took the radar data of the Magellan probe (late 1990s) and used it to produce a topographical map of planet Venus in 3D. It involved some triplanar projection at first; then I needed to deal with the RGB gradient used to determine its height. Unfortunately, that gradient proved to be somewhat unreliable, but with some hue extraction and touch ups I've gotten a reasonably good cartoony Venus, minus its atmosphere. This is all part of a much larger project involving a colonization game, but that will come together in the next few months.
