Chrysler tour 2024

A lil wowie video of me walking around the new Chrysler Museum Glass Studio Expansion. I used to work there in 2015-2017 and this studio expansion had been teased and in the works for quite some time. The old studio (the pyramid) is now getting a facelift and in the meantime, the new space (the cube) is getting used. Gosh is it neat! Seems like the architects really listened! They gave the studio lots of storage space, and plenty of theatrical niceites. Things like a catwalk and dedicated catering space will really help those performances shine. With a double color furnace and all the new studio plans (with more in the works) my gears are really turning for class proposals and ideas for work I could potentially make there. Pittsburgh Glass Center just had an expansion, Chrysler is expanding and Corning Museum of Glass is also expanding. Exciting times for glass in the NorthEast of the US.
