Drawing and talking about “failure” as an artist.

How I deal with failure as an artist It’s so hard as a creative artist when you feel like a total failure. It happens to me! You know one of those weeks were all the artistic risks I’m taking don’t pay off. I have nothing to show for my studio time and it’s a total bummer. When that happens I don’t walk away and do something else because in this case I need to rebuild my confidence. So instead I draw or knit something I know I can do successfully. Maybe it’s a simple composition or something that is already planned for the knitting machine all I have to do is run the machine or even just some tiny sketches. Something that I can walk away from the studio feeling like I’ve made something new today that wasn’t here before.
