I selected this image to draw because I was really interested in the pose. As viewer we’re looking slightly upward at this person but they don’t come across as being overpowering or proud. Instead the soft lighting and the gentle touch of their hand against their face makes them seem thoughtful and approachable. Their eyes even fall in the shadow but they don’t seem removed instead it feels calm and relaxed. I wanted them to feel even more approachable by making this piece a knit print.
