For the coin-ops, most of the character names weren't even given in the original versions. And, even when they were given, and you know the games as well as we do, nine times out of ten you can't remember them as they're just not that important when you're mashing buttons. At least, you think they're not until you find you actually need them thirty-odd years later for a poor-quality animation. Funny how life turns out, isn't it? Kids - let that be a lesson to you.
