SMM2 - Win95 Paint Vibes Timelapse

⏱ 2:26 🌐 makertube.net

A couple weeks ago I had the idea to create a rather complex art comment in Mario Maker 2, and made a mock up in Krita as shown here: https://pawb.fun/@Foxfire/111643514851887137 This utilizes only the 17 colors available in the space given (320x180), but the prospect of actually doing this was daunting! Unlike in Krita, or basically any app for that matter, you get a single undo action, no fills, no layers, and wonky controls outside of slow 1x1 pixel placement. There is even a funny bug in MM2 which makes certain areas of a zoomed in image either drop your inputs, or put them in the wrong areas. This doesn't stop me from making art in MM2, I've made quite a few things this year, but this is on an entirely different level of wild! I hope just from looking at it you can understand why, which leads me to another obvious question. Why? I already made the thing after all right? "We choose to [...] do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard" - John F. Ken
